Just a reminder: Everyone is invited to this week's Metaverse Tour. We'll spend a few minutes getting folks suited up with hypergrid-ready avatars and then head out. We'll visit two Kitely worlds and go out on the hypergrid. Join us! Today at Noon PDT.

Today was the second Metaverse Tour with Serene Jewell. We had 7 people join in. First we visited Panthalassa (grid.kitely.com:8002:Panthalassa). Boating, surfing, archery, etc. What's not to love? Dot did a magnificent job of piloting a big multi-person ship which was a perfect way for us to see the island and chat at the same time! We spent so much time there we didn't have a chance to hang out much at our next destination, Donnybrook Beach (grid.kitely.com:8002:Donnybrook Beach) Turns out we had all been there before. Then we jetted off to hypergrid. For a few people this was their first hypergrid experience so clothes were changed and eventually we all got to the Main welcome area at Metropolis (hypergrid.org:8002) We did the tourist thing of taking our pictures on the Eiffel Tower and then the time was up. An hour can pass pretty quickly when you are traveling!

The goal of these tours is to see new places, have fun, and meet people. All three were accomplished today. Sally Cherry took pictures at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sarvana/. Anyone else?

Lessons Learned:

1. We need a Group so that we can communicate when out of range with each other.
- Done. It's called Metaverse Tours. Join it!
2. I need a general "how-to-hypergrid" notecard.
3. The destinations need to be on a notecard and in the group chat
4. Every tour needs a designated photographer!
5. As with real tours, we need to pair up. We lost Dot somewhere along the line and that is unacceptable!
6. People are awesome. (Wait, I already knew that one.)

Today's tour was fun! I doubt I will be able to do it every week (Thursday is my day to spend time with a friend's 10-year-old.) but I look forward to joining in whenever I can. Metropolis was pretty cool, but I liked Panthalassa more.

A huge "Thank you" go to Serene and the other 'touring" Kitely community members for an enjoyable afternoon while on the "Metaverse Tour'. Kudos to "Captain" Dot for a job well done indeed! Oh! It was a tour! I had been wondering why a whole bunch of people entered Donnybrook Beach around the same time yesterday. I was afraid I had forgot about a meeting or something.
