Re: History Month in August
It occurred to me as Sabreman Carter and I were sharing three millennia of poetry yesterday at The History Hub that I have a poem cycle that would work very nicely for History Month. So I am cancelling next Sunday's regularly scheduled Freda in Progress. Instead at 2:30 PM Sunday, the 14th, I'll be in the lovely Roman pavilion built by Don Smith to read
Have voice enabled to hear the readings.
So that is one more event for History Month! WooHoo!
from my book GodSongs. Lamentations of the Sabine Women is based on the legend of the rape and abduction of the sabine women by the early citizens and founders of Rome.Lamentations of The Sabine Women

Re: History Month in August
Quayside now has an Early Aeroplanes exhibit, period about 1910.
There's a teleport from the arrival point to the exhibit area.
There are several unscripted antique aircraft available for copy with full perms.
Each one contains a licence notecard and another with some brief details.
Some of these are mesh imports from Blendswap, with attribution to "Helijah".
A couple are my own prim builds.
Also a couple of picture galleries, and a scenario from the first ever flight at Kill Devil Hills in N. Carolina.
It's not as complete as I'd hoped, RL having intruded, but it's there.
There are a number of large images, but they seem to load pretty quick when the set up is tested with an alt.
I'll probably get some more content done later.
There hasn't been any proof reading, so any feedback on errors in notices, or any problems encountered, greatly appreciated.

Re: History Month in August
This sounds perfect for History Month! I'll add a portal gate for Quayside to the Week 4 area of the History Hub. Great project, Keith.
