Dear fellow Kitely residents and all peeps from other grids reading this forum :)

Now the Tessin world is decorated and its seas are open for sailing, its time to experiment with some sailing fun.
This week we will test a cirquit on our 4x4 world to start a weekly sailing race event. We will give experienced sailors and new ones an oppertunity to learn to sail a Bwind scripted sailing vessel, and we will set up the route for the race. People who want to test the ships and the route will get a free sailing vessel and a map of the route, so you can practice before we lounch the first race.

When all the preparations are done , and the racing track is set up, this will be announced in this thread. We will give all sailors some time to practice before the competition will start.

For the ones who want to start practising sailing before we set up the sailing event : on the landing point at Tessin you will find a information stand and a box giving you the ship and the manual for sailing it. Please dont hesitate IM me when you want help in learning to sail. Please use this URL to get to the information stand: hop://grid.kitely.com:8002/Tessin/193/291/43

We wish u all happy sailing!

Captains,

The race track is open. At the landing point you will find a box, with a sailing ship and instructions to sail. Also it contains a HUD with the map of the track and information. All who are curious, welcome to test the race , and any input is welcome .

The racing track is not scripted with timers atm.
Please make sure to be a group member of Tessiners to get information when we start the first event.

Well that was a wonderful race ! Joining captains: Cata Raven, One Andonly , Ferrator , Trouble , and there were also people coming as audience ( Masha, Edyth , and I think I saw more, but too busy keeping dry )

Sailing vessel was " The Open Sim Racer" .

There was a close finish between Cat and Trouble. Number three was One, and Ferrator chose his own route. Cata made hilarious moves with her ship, for long time on first position, but wind changed and T was able to pass just before the. finish line.

It was a fun event and we will continue organizing this, will be on Thursdays. Watch this thread or maybe this will appear in the events list .

Winner of the Thursday sailing event on 12 okt : Aminata Potez (she took a shortcut, but still it was a great performance to make it to the finish line when sailing a Bwind ship for the first time! ) Captain Ballyrae Hanley was the best candidate for the " poodle price " for making the audience laugh with his funny remarks in the groups chat.
Many thanks as well to the audience watching the sailing ships and enjoying the game.

See u all in two weeks :D
