These weren't done in OpenSim but struck me as innovative and worth sharing although I have yet to download and play any of them so can't comment on actual play. The context is a class on archaeogaming.

Perhaps you've had a chance to check out Castle Dracula Experience in SL? (open year round)
Wanders Nowhere combines adventure, thrills, literature, exploring, and tons of eye candy.
The implementation uses an exploration HUD that is very helpful and intuitive.

Would be so amazing to apply such techniques to other educational endeavors, everything there could be done in OS of course, and OS offers many more opportunities and features...
Of course Wanders is also an amazing creator/builder, but we have great creators in OS!!
