Educators and everybody. Entry help for virtual worlds

Here are excerpts from a notecard I got in SL (reproduced with permission)

Author: Carmsie Melodie, for the University of Western Australia (UWA)

**************
"I have created a series of SL modules for noobs. it's available to anyone who's interested in starting in SL, but has mostly been designed as a resource for virtual teachers to help them get new students started in SL without wasting precious "real" teaching time.

"If you have the time I would really appreciate it if you could take a peek.

The series is on the web here:
http://sleducate.info

"The inworld activity station is here:
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/U ... 100/248/25

"There's no need set up an account on the website, just click the Second Life Basics series link under "Available Courses" on the home page to access the series.
...
"The site and series is branded as a UWA offering but I produced this as a feebie for them. Jayjay and I would like it freely available to anyone, anywhere. The more the merrier! So, if it's helpful to virtual teachers it can be shared elsewhere."
****************
Parts are still under development, and some modules will be revised, but it is ready for inspection. My preliminary examination suggests that the learner would need to have considerable prior motivation (as could be the case with students). The course structure seems to be designed for general online instruction.

I believe the inworld portion could be exported to or reproduced in Kitely with permission from UWA (JayJAy). The web portion. however, is integrated with the inworld part, so it might be better to suggest that learners get a free account in SL and learn there, even if Kitely is their main destination.
