Summer High School Workshop in DC Area

Post by Kevin McCabe 2 »

We are hosting our fifth annual high school workshop in the DC area from 7/27-7/31. More information can be found at my website at http://www.kevinmccabe.net/ifree Student teams work together in a physical computer lab at GMU's Arlington Campus. They learn how to program in lsl amd they build a virtual world experiment on Kitely that illustrates a canonical economic problem. They also learn about economics by participating in, and discussion of, a number of demonstration experiments.

Thanks Serene, currently I'm also running an 'Economics of the Metaverse' class at George Mason University where we are studying hyperinflation in both the real world and in game worlds. The students and I are building a Virtual world experiment to study hyperinflation in the laboratory. I plan to use the experiment as one of our demonstrations in the High School Workshop.
