Myriad Lite RP

I'm delighted the Myriad RP system is already being used here - thank you Sarge Misfit for saving me all that work copying out the scripts again! I wasn't able to check out how it's implemented in Regio Excelsior yet (the box for the EMCS version wasn't working for me today) but I intend to try again. Is anyone else using it? Trying to use it but doesn't quite have it configured?

I love this system's potential, but except a couple BAM quests I never got it running. It ended up on the endless "to do when I have time" list, and my group was in factions for various proprietary systems anyway. But since I don't need a thousand dollars a month just to keep the virtual lamps lit anymore, this is my chance! So tell me, Myriad users...what have you got going on?

You're welcome, Isla. I believe that MMO-style gaming will be a big reason for bring the Metaverse into mainstream adoption.

My own version, the ECMS, was working until an update to OpenSim was used here on Kitely. I began updating the scripts when I learned that the creator, Allan Kerensky, is close to releasing Preview 7. This next version will be including a major change with how the HUD keeps data. ( http://allenkerensky.com/prim_persistent_memory_array ) I don't fully understand it, but he's working how to use the description of prims to store character data. I need to see it to fully understand what he's said about it. This shouldn't affect everything, just the HUD and how its put together. Anyway, I've put my own end of things on hold until this next release.

I'm not sure what to recommend people do in the meantime. Definitely get the current scripts and work out the things that you want to do. Once Preview 7 is released, I'll update everything and will post about it when its ready.
