The monthly gathering of the Devokan Storytellers group takes place Sunday, 10 November 2013 at 16:00 UTC in the world of Dragon’s Teeth …4p UK…11a US ET…8a US PT

The gathering gives RP storytellers, builders and writers of the Myst/Uru genre an opportunity to share ideas, information, plans and concerns about their stories, builds and virtual worlds. NOTE: We have moved our monthly gatherings to the second Sunday of each month.

Kitely users please note, attendance is free, you will not be charged minutes. For this we thank our gracious host, Paislee Myrtle.

One of the ideas I'm thinking of raising at this gathering is whether there might be interest in a shared-home village, built in the Devokan style...

Notes from 10 November Storytellers Gathering

Place: Dragon’s Teeth, Kitely

In attendance: Dot Matrix, Paislee Myrtle, Jamie Wright, Danko Whitfield, Mat Mahogany, Ghaelen DLareh, Dundridge Dreadlow, Ruby ODegee, Sierra Jakob

KITELY: There was a lengthy discussion about Kitely’s pricing structure and it’s future.

DEVOKAN VILLAGE: Dot raised the possibility of establishing a central Devokan Village on Kitely a la previous sims on other grids. The gathering’s consensus was in favor of this idea. Many expressed the opinion that this would be the perfect setting for the Devokan community to come together and grow their stories. There was discussion about what elements such a world should include. Dot envisioned a central Village in a rural Steampunk style with some surrounding land but most of the regions featuring waterways and landscape. The establishment of this Village would not necessarily change the current line-up of Devokan Ages in Kitely, that would be left up to the world managers of those regions.

FUNDING FOR A DEVOKAN VILLAGE: There was also discussion about including Donation boxes for visitors to contribute to but also for Devokan members to support the cost of the Village world.
