That article failed to mention the very high bandwidth usage for running High Fidelity-derived virtual worlds that hold even a handful of users. Those operational costs can be substantial for any hosted service.

Interesting to see how "outsiders" are viewing these virtual world platforms.
And I agree, it's stunning to see open sim completely left out of that discussion! Though maybe also unsurprising, considering the lack of marketing of OS grids in general.
