New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
Hey Guys,
I'm new around here, but just thought I'd let you guys know I installed the new beta Firestorm, and the new Import/Export feature rocks!!
To Export: Just right click on an object (that you created) and select "Save As" from the 3rd page of the Pie Menu.
To Import: Select "Import linkset" from the Upload menu, and browse for the .oxp file you exported.

Re: New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
lol, ok, right-click menu
Firestorm gave us the option of changing it back to a pie menu shortly after LL made it square.
And I've always prefered to go in circles rather than a straight line

Re: New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
Seems to work perfectly. Exporting from local OneSim instance to SL seperates the textures and keeps the texture names intact. No errors in the linksets and very fast! Import from Local to Kitely was also very fast;-) This will bring more people to Kitely I am sure.

Re: New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
I had to wait so long before it was viable after the switch to mesh, I never bothered to switch it back.
I'm still irked that firestorm uses 1.3 style profile pics when it uses a different aspect ratio in chat windows

Re: New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
Thank you, thank you, thank you Firestorm developers!
I just imported my Harusaki onsen and its amazing, The viewer imports all textures and linksets perfectly and when a script or sculpt or whatever doesnt belong to you it replaces it with default plywood prime. Very easy to work with;-) Great tool. Finally we content creators get the tools we need to spread our work.

Pretty much all tests are working well so far though
Strongly suggest you upgrade if you haven't already.

Does it export the Contents of the prims in the linkset?

Re: New Firestorm Import/Export Rocks
Yes, with "backup" it is supposed to download the contents if owned by you. I haven't tried that, but it's on my list!
