creating for the Oculus Rift, scale challenges

Post by Ramesh Ramloll »

Hello,
I forgot if I shared this before but do check out the video when u get some time
http://youtu.be/Qpl1-v48bvo
The problem that be immediately seen is that once you experience a world that works fairly well for the desktop,it is really off scale when experienced through the Oculus Rift.
There are obvious solutions but it is costly unless someone builds some code to do the rescalings automatically (may be more complicated than just rescale the whole by the same amount).
Side note, if you are interested in RezMela, please check out a workshop that is going to be held today at 2 PM EST (US Time). Send me a note for reservations.
Thanks
Ramesh

Same goes for me. Incidentally, some cool videos on the RezMela website for those who couldn't make it. I'm hoping to organise a program of group visits to Kitely educational worlds in the not too distant future and hope you can be persuaded to participate. :)

Remind me to order an oculous rift soon :)
I'm going to assume everything looks huge ? Pesky overhead viewpoints causing people to build things overscale.

PS. Kitely is awesome.
