Builder's Buddy for Opensim

Post by Dadiella Nightwing »

I have tested the Builder's Buddy for Opensim and have found it to work well in Kitely.
I have put a free copy in my sim here:

grid.kitely.com:8002:Brayla Sana Gallery (Put this in your map)

Builder's buddy is an open-source repackaging script similar to Rez-Faux and other commercial scripts.
This version has been modified to be compatible with opensim worlds. It is full-perm and free.
My sim is open to hypergridders as well.

The box includes the scripts and detailed instructions.

Have fun and enjoy!

We need initiatives like yours, thanks to this great news I will start building fine quality swimming pools to sell cheap and this systems makes it easy to position separate phantom water and springs, cheeeeeers

PS - I hope it is EXPORT, otherwise you should sell it for minimum KCs at the market, assuring the export selection

I set it to full perm, so worst case scenario you can recreate the package if you need to (opening up the scripts and copy-pasting them making you the owner).

I've just tested this out on one of Ami's multi-part castle buildings -- it works beautifully.

Thanks for doing this, Brayla!

I got some houses from Selea Core and discovered that the BB rez boxes only rez correctly on the SW sim. Otherwise they rez in the middle of the region. I found this thread which mentioned that it has issues in megaregions, so I tried it in the anchor sim, and it worked.

The version on my sim has the megaregion code changes included. It works when "Advanced Megaregion mode" is off. I know enough LSL to be dangerous, so I am not sure how to make it work with advanced on.

I've been a little out of it with a cold this week, so I totally didn't register that I could just turn the megaregion setting off to rez them.

Just to stop anyone getting dunked as I was, the scripts are here now. hop://grid.kitely.com:8002/Brayla%20Sana%20Gallery%202,2/90/52/23

Unfortunately I couldn't find the Builders Buddy script, there is a picture on the wall, but it didn't do anything. However, I found a nice product unpacker.
Thank you Dadiella.

It's under the picture in a box. I picked it up to fix the box mesh and forgot to put it back. Oops!!!

All of the links in this thread now seem to go to non-existent regions. Does anyone have a current link where I could obtain a copy of the megaregion version of builder's buddy?

Thanks
Mike
