Hi, sorry to bother. I've searched exhaustedly to see if this has already been discussed and am not sure if this is a Firestorm viewer problem or an Opensim problem. When I first began writing this I thought this was simply a problem to do with texturing, the more I look at things, I'm beginning to wonder if this is something else.
I rezzed in for the first time with blue skin, when I began to upload homemade textures, they too had a blue tint. I've been working all day in sketchup/elsewhere and was quite excited about finally rejoining opensim and now I'm feeling quite...blue. No game/editing software has this problem, seems to only take place when I fire up firestorm.

Re: Blue tinting to textures
Hi Mark. I unfortunately don't have the answer for you right now (not being in-world), but wanted to let you know someone read your post and you'll likely get an answer soon.
I seem to remember there's an option in the Firestorm BUILD settings about "highlighting selected objects". The memory is sketchy so don't quote me, but you might check and see if you can find that kind of setting in there. Turning it off might remove the blue. Again, just shooting from the long-go memory hip. ; )

Re: Blue tinting to textures
I found the answer. Had to disable ALM, quit/restart and re-enable it.
Wow. I was pretty bummed there for a while.

Re: Blue tinting to textures
I was just about to post my first thought was incorrect. However I did find ONE cause of blue texturing:
BUILD / OPTIONS / Show Physics Shape When Editing
Check on, turns blue. Check off, blue vanishes. : )

Re: Blue tinting to textures
Just for general information -- Firestorm has reported another reason for (Second Life) going blue or pink, and it has to do with the AMD video card. No idea if this issue affects OpenSim. More information: https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_amd
