In search of amusement park rides

Post by Kimm Starr »

Hey all. Spent the day searching all over opensim for amusement park rides. Nobody sells them. Anyone know of Ferris wheels for sale. Roller coasters or scripts. I'll buy, not looking for anything for free. I have already bought all of the rides available in the Kitely market, but there's not much there. Thanks.

There is an OAR file called Boardwalk that has a ferris wheel and several other rides and carnie games and snack shacks and stuff.

If anyone wants the OAR file let me know and I'll send.

Hey Shandon, Thanks, I am really on a hunt for a Ferris Wheel script. I have a script from SL but it doesn't work here. Maybe someone with some scripting knowledge can take a look at it and see if they can fix it. I've seen Ferris wheels that work in opensim, but can't find the creators. I built a Coney Island Wonder Wheel and really want it to do more than just spin. The day wasn't a miss though. I found the roller coaster script for my Cyclone and can now have my Dante's Inferno spook ride be an actual car ride rather than a walk through, so there's that. I also found fireworks! I just finished building the Coney Island Hell Hole Ride too, that I have to figure out how to make work. It's a Rotor ride from back in the day. Then I'm done, lol

Outworldz.com has the Linda Kellie OAR file Boardwalk, I think. And there are a few rides at the Arcadia Asylum/Aley library in Kitely - most of the Seaview Fair builds are there, though they all need to be rescripted for OS, along with the Slum City/Urban Blight playground builds - I think those have scripts, though you may want to retexture them if you want them cheerful.

Thanks, I think I may repurpose some of Arcadia's old rides.
