Thinking on about the owner requirement of llTeleportAgent, this presumably could be accomplished either by:
  • Making the scripted prim a HUD;
  • Making the scripted prim a readily touch-accessible attachment such as a backpack.
In principle you could force attach the latter on land you own or manage. If you didn't want to use touch, you could alternatively trigger teleport of the avatar(s) via chat in which case the attachment could be invisible.

I should add that I haven't tried any of this yet -- your method is simpler!

FYI Tested the scripted attachment/listener approach with my own avatar and it worked OK. As expected, a permissions dialog was presented when the chat command was received prior to initiating teleport.
