Re: Anybody remember this?
oh yes, love using these.. so much more realistic... am surprised more people don't use the llSetTextureAnimGIF() feature.

Re: Anybody remember this?
To do that requires using particles, but particles don't support sprite sheets, have you tried?

Re: Anybody remember this?
nah, lol, i was just being tongue-in-cheek remembering the hype of this 'feature' that never materialized.
did make a small script one time though that rapidly changes the pictures on the particle by reading it from a NC with list of UUIDs...
effectively it was like an animated gif on a particle... or like a slideshow viewable from any angle.. it is about 5-10 fps.. works really well for some certain application.. though not sure exactly what.. LoL
if for some whacky reason someone wants this script I'll put it in my Script Library Building at Storylink Radio Mall here in Kitely.
(or just reply here and I'll paste it..)

Re: Anybody remember this?
Your script sounds useful, make a demo template to sell on kitely, I may use it to make new products but need full perm. Im looking into making billboard effects...,
