Free Animations

Post by Michael Timeless »

Recently while building some furniture I needed a swimming animation. After a search for the right animation I ran across Animstreet. This is a former pay site that has now released over a thousand BVH files. If you register you have access to their very large database. I tried the beta of their software with a copy of AviSitter I bought in Kitely Marketplace and it works very well. The link to Animstreet is below. Happy Animating.

Chris
Avsitter is open source but since someone did the legwork I felt they should get a few bucks for it (as well as the donation). It saved me some time and worked perfectly out of the box. Now if I would just scroll to the end of my chat log before cutting and pasting....

This is an older database, but perhaps of use to some... or maybe y'all already know... just thought I'd mention...

Over 2500 free human motion BVH files available at cgspeed.com (also on Outworldz if you search)

Free release of an enhanced BVH conversion of the entire set of 2548 human motions from the Carnegie-Mellon Graphics Lab Motion Capture Database. This is a large set of professionally-captured human motions of a wide variety of types. The files are free to use worldwide for any purpose. They upload smoothly and easily into Kitely.
