Kitely Avatar Kit

Post by Pixellada Com »

I wonder if there is any Kitely Avatar Kit available that is adjusted to Kitely or there is no need for separate one. Also if Avastar is compatible with Kitely?

If Avastar is compatible with OpenSim, it will be compatible with Kitely.

Nobody has tried it so far? I ask because I wonder if it works in limited way like for OpenSim or there is more improvement in Kitely that dimish the difference.

I have searched at forum but I couldn't find any link related to some .blend avatar file that is supported by Kitely. Is skeleton the same as in SL?

Kitely is running Opensim: OpenSim 0.8.0.2 Post_Fixes. There is no need for a special kit for Kitely. Anything that works on any opensim grid running 8.0.2 should work in KItely.

Thank you Selby.
Can anyone share a link to avatar source files that are appropriate here please? It seems I have not much luck and uncle Google doesn't help me much.

What Selby said :)

I've been making avatars and rigged avatar attachments using Avastar for a little less than two years in Kitely (for New Media Arts projects). Very handy for deforming skeletons for character or creature avs. It's the same as other OpenSim. Better actually, no sim or viewer crashes even with big uploads - just be sure to keep your inventory as slim as possible. Anything you can use Blender for in OS, you can use the Avastar plugin.

How do I create Avatars in my world and make them sit on chairs?

Hello Lokiah. Welcome! :)

What you need is the OpenSim NPC kit. It's available from Outworldz here:
http://www.outworldz.com/opensim/posts/npc/

This helps you make "non-player characters" (avatars), and script them to sit on chairs, or move around, or ...
