What mesh bodies and appliers should I be creating for?

Post by Tocy Sweet »

Hi everyone. I'm struggling to figure out how to size my mesh clothing and which appliers are popular for OpenSim. The only article I could find was written in 2017. What's popular and desired?

Do you use:
  • Standard SL sizes (small, medium, large?)?
  • Sapphira Mesh Body?
  • Sapphira Appliers?
  • Fitmesh for the original Ruth avatar?
  • Other?

Hi Tocy,
I'm sure many people know better about this than I do..
But I do see ladies with Athena, and guys with Apollo and Ares.

Not sure how much that helps...

I got a bit the same problem, started making clothing but dev kits for Open Sim don't seem to be very obvious. I do hope that Cathy Foil brings in her mesh body but up to now that's not factual yet.

Tocy,i saw u asked me in im as well,
my experience is : everything :)
what i see in my sales is : everyone is different, has other visions, likes & loves, do's and don'ts , what results in me keep creating 'all kinds' :)

since zed mentioned cathy foil,i went to c what-who that was

i really dont c the use of that body arrivng here? her info says : (and is superexpenive, imo) 'MayaFit resizes your clothing mesh to fit the 5 Standard Sizes or if you created you mesh to already fit any one of the the 5 Standard Sizes you can use MayaFit to resize your mesh to fit the other 4 or the default female or male avatar shape which is used for Fitted Mesh.'

-) since ruth (free) wears all standard sizes, fitted mesh & most maitreya, ruth bom wears all layerclothing

So, I'm thinking, for now, since Sapphira is being given away for free, there might be an uptake in the use of that body moving forward as well.

I think I'll concentrate on offering for Sapphira, Athena and Ruth (fitmesh) for now. Thanks guys!

morrighan has been so kind to give many of us creators-artists the pack for free,to learn to work with (sadly i cant find time for it,i keep it safe in inventory, it's precious) and keep hoping i ll find time,

for customers tho, it seems 20dollar (the official one), it might be expensive for many pple (imo), and i'm sure she's worth it, and still,
anyway,
glad u found y plan back :)

Chris's clothing packs introduced me to the different varieties -- found it very helpful. I use a standard avatar with skin and shape from creators on Kitely Market, and from Chris's efforts discovered that "Fitmesh" really does work well.

So thanks, Chris! And thanks, Tocy, too, for making lovely clothes.

Chris, Morrigan posted in Facebook that she won't be creating anymore and that the body will be available for all for free (Digiworld?). She has health issues. :(
