A few notes before I start showing you the pictures.
- I would have loved to make a complete collection of all possible combinations of road surfaces and edges, for different road widths, all kinds of crossroads, corners, T-junctions etc., transition textures between all sets, different road stripes for the asphalt ones etc., etc., etc. But that would mean millions of textures so it's not possible. Instead I make new variants as and when they are needed. I do accept comission works if there is something you need that isn't already listed. The price depends. If there is just a few textures that should have been in an existing set anyway, I'll probably do it for free. If it's something I can list on Kitely Market so others can enoy it too, I'll do it very cheap. If it's a pure custom job I'll have to charge RL hourly rates.
- I do not generally make special textures for curves since it can't really be done for curves with a reasonable radius. Use a regular straight texture on a mesh or tube prims (Pathcut and Hole y size to adjust road width) instead.
- I have a large collection of road meshes I haven't had time to list for sale yet. Let me know if you are interested in them. I also do custom meshes to fit your sim.
- Most of the textures here use my Rey's Grass 01B for the edges. This is a moderately bright and rather lush grass texture.
- Some of the asphalt variants are so grungy they work well as rocks too. So you can also use them to create cliff sides with grass along the top and/or bottom.
- Likewise, the dirt road textures make great earth banks too and with the "end" variants you can create patches of dirt to add variety to the ground.
- Do not expect perfect match between the road texture edges and the surrounding ground. That simply isn't possible. Textures with alpha edges help a little bit here but they come with their own set of problems and should be avoided if possible. It's generally better to cover the obvious blemishes with some plants or other objects or with some careful terraforming.
Rey's Aspalt Road 01 comes in three different road widths:
