Im trying several of maria's oar trying to upload it but there's an error '' Couldn't start the virtual world, because the OAR file is corrupted ''

Hi Joe,

Please make sure to upload OAR files or tar.gz files and not the ZIP files that are sometimes used to compress the OAR files (it's a common mistake).

Yes the oar files are tar.gz files and i still get the corrupted error , I tried about 4 of the OAR files and still its not working ....

Which OAR files have you tired? Where did you get them?

This is one of the OAR that cant be uploaded due to file corruption

I've just downloaded the tgz file from that page and used it to create a new Kitely world (without any problems).

See for example http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world/Ila ... e-Tropical (I'll eventually delete that world from my account so, future reader, don't be surprised if it no longer exists).

You probably just had some problem downloading the file from Linda Kellie's site so I suggest you download the file again and use that new copy to create your world.

ok ill try downloading it again and test it out now thanks for the feedback

Hi Joe,

I think you're unzipping the *.tar.gz files before uploading them. That turns them into just *.tar files, which are invalid. Please try to upload the original (compressed) files.

ok ive tried downloading a fresh file or tar and trying uploading it . but still its not working .... but in the other hand i tried uploading a OAR file and its working perfectly ...

im think there might be something wrong with my network or internet connection speed. as im receiving unstable speed of below 1mb upload and download during to the heavy rain in my area.

my internet connection speed is supposed to be 12mb upload and 2mb download but its acting strange today .....
