My husband (retired schoolteacher) noticed this when he was looking over my shoulder- I asked him to check to see if my problems with the page were because I'm so dyslexic. The answer to that was no.
BUT:
The layout of the page forces users to start on the upper right, work their way down for half a page, then move left, then down. This works OK for people whose native languages are middle-eastern or Asian, or ambidextrous dyslexics like me, but not so much for right handed English or European language readers, who are likely to try to start on the left and set up Attributes before establishing Category. To keep everyone on the same plane, so to speak, a better layout would be top to bottom in the sequence we need to follow.
Suggestion re the layout for adding or editing items.

Seems OK to me, now I'm used to it.
If it changed I would still complete items more or less randomly, I don't really follow the layout.
