Kitely Market Product Upload
When I uploaded my product, for which I'd carefully set all the perms prior to uploading to the Marketplace, many, many perms were changed from Copy or Mod-Copy to MCT. I used several different strategies to get the perms to stay as I had set them. I separated some things into separate boxes and that worked with some, but not all of the items. So I tried putting some things into folders, and that worked, but when I finally got everything uploaded with the perms remaining as I'd set them, on my download test, I found the folders didn't download reliably. There were a total of four folders and multiple boxes, but on the test download, I could only get one of the folders to download and, sometimes, none would download. I finally put the folder back into boxes (within boxes) which hadn't worked when I did it initially (which is why I tried folders) but finally worked. It took many, many hours of effort to get this product uploaded as I needed. And why things worked sometimes and not others is a big mystery. Ideas???

Re: Kitely Market Product Upload
Hi Carla,
When you add an item into Kitely Market it uses the Next Owner permissions of the item (as those are what your buyer will get once the iten is delivered to them).
Boxed items get folded permissions, which is why boxing items should be avoided if you don't want that to happen (you can add entire folders to your listing and Kitely Market will retain their structure, autoboxing them if they are delivered to third party grids).
If you make any changes to items, make sure to do so while they are rezzed and only then take them into your inventory and add them to your product listening. Otherwise the permissions you see in your inventory will have a slam bit applied to them when they are next rezzed, meaning the permissions you see won't be what the buyer will actually get.
See https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Debug_Permissions for info about folded permissions and slam bits.
