Listings stop after showing 990 Items

This is a very minor issue, but I thought I would point it out.

Occasionally I have just tried to browse through everything in the Marketplace, just to see what is out there. Probably only feasible in the early days of the Marketplace, as eventually this will take way too long. Right now the Market shows 1649 items, however after I click through numerous screens and get to where it shows 976-990 of 1649, the next arrow is greyed out.

Not a big deal since I imagine few people take the time to scroll through all the results like that. But I could see the potential as the market grows for searches in certain categories to return more than a 1000 results, which I would think would show the same issue.

Hi Tully,

We've set the search engine to return only the top 1000 results for the defined search criteria and sort order to prevent marketplace performance degradation as the number of listed items increases. This is standard search engine practice when the datasets can become big.

It's expected that very few people will just flip through 67 pages of results, most will just refine their search with additional search criteria.

Sometimes I browse because items don't show up where I might expect them to with keywords. Surely there's a way to only pull products for the current range? Or... have a link called "More..." that takes the user to the next set of data?

Hi Doc,

Kitely uses the concept of Attributes for refining searches. The predefined Attribute values help guide merchants to tag their product listings with metadata that can help you refine your searches more predictably than when using keywords.
