How to get items into my inventory
I am on the metropolis grid and just created a store here, but I don't see a way to get items from my metropolis inventory to appear in the inventory here. Any tips on doing this?
Marisa

Re: How to get items into my inventory
Hello Marisa!
I think the easiest way would be for you to put them in your "My Suitcase" folder, hypergrid to Kitely and give them to your Kitely avatar. Permissions might be a problem, you should mark them full perm before doing this, then have your Kitely avatar set them back where they should be before putting them in the marketplace.
The slightly less easy way would be to save them to your hard drive using the "save as backup" option in FireStorm on Metropolis, then "upload import linkset" with Firestorm from you Kitely avatar. This will mess up permissions so check them carefully this way also. This does not work on imbedded objects and last I tried it could not transfer anything that had mesh parts. But if it works, the item ends up belonging to your Kitely avatar so lots of permission hassles go away.
The old way was to upload all the textures, sculpts, mesh, sound, animations etc. one at a time on Kitely and put everything together the way you did the first time. I hope you can use one of the easier ways!

Re: How to get items into my inventory
I don't have a Kitely avatar, and it let me create a store using my Metro avi so I am a little confused on how to do that..

Oh! I thought you had to have a Kitely avatar if you wanted to put stuff in the Marketplace!Marisa Giancarla wrote:I don't have a Kitely avatar, and it let me create a store using my Metro avi so I am a little confused on how to do that..
You may have to wait for Ilan to answer this question...

Re: How to get items into my inventory
Yes I do have one LOL. I assumed that since when I buy items they go to my metro avi that I must be using a metro avi. But I can now do the backup/restore steps and import files. Is there a sandbox area that allows temporary rezing?

Re: How to get items into my inventory
Hi Marisa,
Kitely Market in only able to directly access the inventory of Kitely avatars. You therefore need to have a Kitely avatar to upload items into Kitely Market. One is automatically created for you when you create a Kitely account, for example for buying items from Kitely Market and having them delivered to an avatar on a third-party grid.
