Can I assume this applies to items held in Kitely worlds?, I'm trying to upload to my market shop from Digiworldz and getting nowhere.

Hi Blunt,
Kitely Market needs to have full access to the merchant's inventory in order to work. You therefore need to first add the items into your Kitely avatar's inventory and only then follow the instructions listed on the aforementioned page.
