Problem with rights of linked objects delivered

When trying to add a new product (advanced scripted door) to the market I face an issue with rights for the customers:
The object and all if its components (door & frame linked) has modify and copy rights.
The script has only copy rights as I don't want it to be copied and used without license.
After test delivery the provided object is "no modify" what is a no go since the customer must be able to teach door positions and adapt the door to his builds. :o
Who can help? :?:

Does it keep the permissions once rezzed ?
Or more to the point, is it correct once rezzed ?

Tried that already Dundridge, but - no, once rezzed it can not be modified - only moved and rotated as complete object - thus I cannot teach door-positions etc

Sorry, this is our mistake and it will be fixed in the next release. We've been treating the Copy, Transfer and Modify permissions the same way: if an object contains any item that doesn't have Copy/Transfer/Modify permissions then we remove those permissions from the object as well. But this is too strict: we should only have done this for Copy/Transfer, but not Modify. So in the next release we'll allow including no-modify items inside a Modify object.

For now, please keep your object Inactive. After the next release, remove the inventory items in the product listing and add them back. The product will have the correct permissions then.

I am having the same problem, when is the next release? this is a rather urgent matter for home builders, as scripts an animations are used to make homes interactive. Is there a way to push this change in a timely manner?

Hi Brayla,

Our release cycle includes multiple time-consuming stages (QA and staging prior to deployment on our operations environment). These stages come at the expense of time we would otherwise spend resolving user issues, fixing bugs and developing new features. Updating our system also requires 1-2 hours of downtime which effects everyone using Kitely. We therefore schedule our updates so they minimize effects on our operations while maintaining speedy turnaround times for newly reported problems.

We're currently working on fixing various OpenSim content-creation bugs that people reported in our forums. Once we're done doing this we'll roll out the next build. We expect this to be done before the end of this month.

I was one of Brayla's customers affected by this bug. She was very helpful and sent a copy of the beach house with the permissions corrected inworld.

Thank you, Brayla. I'll be regularly checking your store for more goodies. :)

And thank you, Ilan and Oren, for all the bug squashing you do.

It's pretty impressive all round!

Thank you Dot :-)

We're currently working on fixing some of the OpenSim bugs that have been reported here (several of which have plagued OpenSim for quite some time). Anyway, one down a few more to go, and then we'll roll out our next build... :-)

This sounds good. In the meantime I can resend products after sale on those affected.
