Security of purchases from Kitely sent to accounts in other grids.

Suppose I purchase an item from the Kitely Market that is delivered to an account of mine in a grid other than Kitely. What happens to my purchase if that other grid goes out of business?

Hi Agent Ronin,

Please see this blog post about Kitely's built in feature to help handle such cases: https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-ne ... t-updates/

This means I would have to wait for each vendor I purchased from, and had delivery to an account in another grid, to act. Also that vendor might no longer be in business and be unreachable.

My decision is to have all items I purchase in my Kitely account. My Kitetly avatar will friend my avatars in the other grid, and give edit, delete, or take objects rights to those avatars. When I need to rez something in another grid I will hypergrid my Ktely avatar there to rez it. My local avatar will then be able move around the item, or return it, at will.

This assumes my Kitely avatar will have rezzing rights where I send it. Since I am the Estate Manager where these items are intended be used, I expect I will be able to grant that, perhaps by means of group membership. I will test this first to be sure.

Rezzing purchases and saving them in OARs is another way to safeguard them, assuming you always go for the export version and the creator's terms and conditions allow for that.
