Couple of newbie questions about Kitely hubs and KC/money!
First of all, I was just wondering how many Kitely hubs there are?
I know that Kitely seems to be predominantly for the creation of distinct user worlds, but I notice there is at least one hub and one sandbox and so I was wondering how many there are and if people use them much?
Also, my second question is why can't KC be converted back to money? I'm just curious as to why this isn't allowed, as it seems reasonable to me as something to do. Can one charge in real world money for services within Kitely worlds? I suppose that would be fine too. It would just be great to be able to make some money from my world over and above the costs of running the world.
Thanks guys - I'm loving Kitely so far!

Hi Mike,
Kitely currently hosts more than 10,000 regions, most of which are in people's private worlds. You can find public Kitely worlds on the Explore Worlds page: https://www.kitely.com/search
Kitely Credits are a non-convertible virtual currency due to US guidelines regulating the trade of virtual currencies. You can read more about that here: https://www.fincen.gov/statutes_regs/gu ... -G001.html
These regulations have made it very hard for companies to enable their users to legally exchange their virtual currencies back to real money and, as a result, many previously exchangeable virtual currencies have become non-exchangable.
Kitely accepts payment in KC for all its services, so if you earn KC inworld you can use them to pay for things such as your Kitely world(s) subscription. To enable this option change your Account Payment Method to one of the options that include Kitely Credits. See: https://www.kitely.com/settings
If you want to earn real money in Kitely you can do so by selling content you've created in Kitely Market for US Dollars (instead of for Kitely Credits). See: https://kitely.atlassian.net/wiki/displ ... arket+Fees

About the worlds - I mean the official Kitely worlds. Is it just the Welcome Center? I know they seem to be just a minor detail of Kitely but I couldn't help being curious!

Oh, you know one thing that would be really cool and I think would make a big difference when browsing different worlds?
At the moment, it doesn't indicate how many users are in the world before you actually enter it in full 3D. It might be cool if on a world's page it indicated how many were currently logged in there and maybe even ranked the worlds by online avatars, etc.
Just suggestions - I thought it would make browsing worlds a bit more social as we could see where other members happened to be!

Hi Mike,
The search results in the Explore Worlds page are sorted using various criteria, the main one being the number of people currently inside each world. The problem is that this page doesn't get automatically refreshed so the number of people who are in the world may change by the time you log into it.

Ah OK that's cool - it's good that it has a ranking system like thatIlan Tochner wrote:Hi Mike,

Why was it decided not to put the numbers, though?

We didn't want to display numbers that may not be current by the time people log into the world to avoid people thinking we were just making them up. So we decided to sort by the number of people inside each world but we don't display those numbers.

I think just the fact it doesn't indicate the order of them anywhere makes it look random to a layman lol
I'm glad that I know for future though
