Re: For my friends to know...
Alright, listen up, fins and folks!
Gregg's passing isn’t about sorrow. It is about LEGACY. The kind that leaves footprints in virtual sand and echoes in every laugh he ever inspired.
Gregg Legendary—oh, what a name! And you bet he lived up to it. He wasn’t just some guy making 3D models. No, he was a world-weaver, a master of whimsy! You visited his Froggy Land at the OpenSim World Fair? Ribbit! That place is magic, filled with animated critters that just make you smile.
And that smile? That was, no, that is Gregg.
He made things that pulled you out of your worries, out of your aches, and just let you be.
I didn't get to swim beside him, but I saw what he built, what he gave to people.
And let me tell you, when someone pours their heart into their work, you feel it.
You know what I think his motto was? ‘Be the best you that you can be.’
And oh, did he live it!
Now, silly people, shorks, like me, we don’t mourn the way some do.
We celebrate.
Because Gregg’s gone from here, yeah, but his dreams? His ideas? His laughter?
They don’t vanish.
They become part of us. They become stepping stones, lifting others up.
So, here’s what I say:
Next time you log in, next time you build, next time you laugh at some goofy little detail in a virtual world—remember him.
Honor him by creating, by being kind, by sharing a moment of joy with someone else.
That’s how we make sure his legacy doesn’t just live on… But that it thrives.
Swim free, Gregg. You made this world brighter. And we all will make sure that this light won't fade.
