I'd happily set up a small stall.

Featherburr would be happy to fill a stall too. Prax Maryjasz and I are working on merchandise for sale. Guess a lot of thought will be needed, like number of prims, rezzing group if needed, etc.

Re: Time for a Kitely Merchant Fair
Well folks, it certainly seems from the initial responses I have had that this thing is ON everyone approached so far would be happy to contribute, so I am happy to push the project forward.
The program for development will be (roughly) as follows:
*Development of the expo village/hall/area to begin immediately
*July/Aug - Development by the main landscapers
*End aug/Sept - Merchant stalls and other activities will be finalized.
*Fair will begin Mid Sept/Early October
Thank you Marstol and Alexina, you will both be most welcome . If anyone else wants to be involved, let me know as soon as possible here or in PM. The earlier I have an idea of numbers, the better I can plan the area.

People can promote their exhibits by presenting them at the Hypergrid WIP show. Here is the Google community link:

Maybe even get suggestions.

I know I've been pretty quiet lately, but I'd love to participate or just see this happen. Be glad to help or DJ.

Re: Time for a Kitely Merchant Fair
A small update. I am keeping as many details under my branches for as long as possible, but a basic plan for the Fair is forming.
There will be space in the central exhibition area for 12 merchants to do larger displays. 2 of those spaces are already reserved. Those spaces will be perfect for furnishings, scripted items and other smaller "rezables" to be displayed in-world.
Smaller Stands and stalls will be distributed throughout the surrounding grounds which will be landscaped by Zuza Ritt, Lilith Heart and myself. These can be deployed as needed but for now I am working with the assumption of around 15-20. These will be geared more towards clothing, accessory and skin designers, scripters, animators etc. Basically, "non-rezables". 3 of those are already reserved.
There will also be opportunity to have your own small island for those with large builds they want to showcase. Those can vary in size, we have 4 regions to play with. So if you want to do totally your own thing, we can accommodate that too.

Re: Time for a Kitely Merchant Fair
Is Kitely Merchant Fair the final name of the fair? It would be good to add the general theme of fair. For example: September Fair, Kitely Fair (in this case there is brand owner permission needed), Open Creation Fair. Something that would help to think about some items (usually one per merchant) that are made especially for that fair.
You can consider end of October and Halloween theme. Two weeks earlier or later doesn't make much difference.
Happy to join the fair whatever the theme and date is.

Re: Time for a Kitely Merchant Fair
Kitely Merchant Fair seems to be what is sticking.
I am not sure a strong theme for the entire fair is such a good idea, because it has the potential to exclude people who dont have any items in that theme and no time/inclination to make new ones within a 2-3 month deadline.
I think, at least for the first fair it is better to stick to showcasing what people already have. The summer months are not a good time to be asking people to create new stuff. One of the main concerns I have heard from creators wanting to be involved is that they are away over summer and only have certain times free to come and set up. So an extra complication like that has the potential to turn off those with limited time.
BUT it sounds like an excellent idea for a party or event.
I am also in total favor of themed areas. So (for example) if people with a lot of Haloween stuff want to get together and make a Halloween corner/exhibit/island then great!

Re: Time for a Kitely Merchant Fair
Is that confirmed that world 'Kitely' can be used in community project?
A corner with some Halloween theme is a great idea and could be interesting for visitors in October. In September may be too early.
