Where can I find a concise explanation of hypergridding?

I think the Hypergrid is fascinating, but I am having problems understanding how moving things among grids works. I understand that anything I wear when going from Kitely to other grids has to have the export permission set. I do not understand what the requirements are for an avatar from another grid to come to Kitely. What can they wear?

Can someone recommend something I can read to gain better understanding of this?

Item exportability is controlled by the source grid. If the grid the avatar is exporting the items from has content export controls in place then whatever logic it has implemented will define which items can be taken out of that grid. If that source grid doesn't have any content export controls implemented then it won't limit which of the avatar's items can be taken to other grids.
