Hello Kitely friends,

I am Danko Whitfield, my Kitely world is Evergreen, which hosts four of the Devokan Trust regions. I have been a Second Life resident since 2007 and continue to reside there in Winterfell. I have accounts (but no land) in many other virtual worlds. I have my own standalone OpenSim mini-grid, Dankoville.

I'm a writer in RL. I write about issues of the virtual world on my OOC blog...
Journey To The Center Of The Metaverse http://journeymetaverse.wordpress.com/

I write about my virtual life on my IC blog...
The Further Adventures Of Danko Whitfield, Semi-Retired Time Traveller http://steampunkexplorer.wordpress.com

I have three Kitely groups you may wish to join: Kitely Explorers, Steampunk Explorer, Danko Whitfield's Readers.

See you around the grid

Hello-))

I consider myself a metaverse traveler and have accounts in several grids.

I currently have home regions in kitely [Miney's] which is a free region I do not use much but have uploaded a very nice oar to which is updated regularly. Feel free to drop by-)) I have an office there and a kinda neat Art Club in the air.

I am in Metropolis grid hypergrid.org:8002:minethere where most of my time is currently spent. And I am @ hg.osgrid.org:80:minethere.

I create my RAW files in a closed private grid.

I really like the kitely model and talk it up as best I can to folx. Many of my friends are in several grids & I like to go to different events as well.

Hello All

I was probably one of the first to review Kitely on my blog and I think I gave a balanced account, if a little harsh at the time.
http://metaverse-traveller.blogspot.co. ... -deep.html
Kitely was still a largely unknown quantity back then. However, I am first to admit that Ilan and Oren have been true to their word and have strived hard to deliver on their promises and, moreover, contributed back to Opensim core a lot of very helpful code. Well done Kitely!

For my part I have been around role playing in chat rooms since the year 2000. I joined Second Life in 2005 first time but found it all a bit confusing and almost gave up. I returned in 2006 and made the effort to really understand the viewer and what I could do but I know a lot of people loose interest at this time and fail to see the point of virtual worlds. Anyway, I kept at it and eventually opened as many as five regions dedicated to the Barbary coast pirates which included trading, slaves and historical sailing, not to mention plenty of swashbuckling sword action. In recent times I closed some sims in SL to be left with just two while, at the same time, opening regions at OSgrid and a private standalone mini grid. I enjoy building. scripting and making things, especially themed clothes. I enjoy themes such as 1001 Arabian Nights, Belly dance and Steampunk. I also like Sci-fi themes too.

Image

In the meantime I continue to work on my existing sims both in the open Metaverse and Second Life. I also try to keep up blogging at http://metaverse-traveller.blogspot.co.uk. Recently I also opened a Google+ community group "Opensim Virtual" at https://plus.google.com/communities/116 ... 2234467612 so I could help promote the idea of a Hypergrid connected Metaverse of both none-profit and commercial grids.

Eventually, I hope to build in Kitely too.

HI! (for many of you, hi again lol). I am Ohn Lang. I began in SL about a year ago. I still visit on the odd neon moon but migrated to Kitely for most of my virtual existence about 6 months ago. Love it here, great bunch of people, and Ilan and Oren are stupendous, seriously. In RL, I have the mundane title of Recorder, tasked with cataloging the grains of sand and hours of time. Mind killing work that never ends, much like the disapproval of unimpressed family members, but what can i do? So I've taken to enjoying the meditative process of deconstructing rainbows on contract with the leprechauns in my down time. On holiday, like everyone else, I immerse myself in that delightful physical chaos of various shapes and sizes of extended family. The small ones are pinchable but they squeal very loud.

I have two public worlds in Kitely right now: ohn freebies and Unsound Isle. the freebie world has copy/modify stuff I've made like trees, stairs, nice elevator, and other things, scripted items have the scripts modify too so you can make them your own and customize. Preston (winter trees) and Marcel (sailboat) have also kindly donated items. Anyone can donate copy/modify stuff and get public thank you and mention of one of your worlds. I have no idea what Unsound Isle is for, but I'm having fun trying to figure that out, lol.

Thank you Dot/Sue, so very much!!, for inspiring Ilan and Oren to implement the local forum. Too bad they couldn't import the posts from the database of the last one. :(

Welcome to Kitely Joe Jr :-)

Kitely used a different site for its support forum up until Dec 23, 2012. As a lot of people were on holiday with there families since then the new forums have yet to get a lot of posts. I expect this will change quickly as people come back from their vacations.

For details about the new forums, see: http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-new ... e-sign-on/

Hello everyone! I'm Sara Seurat. I was in SL for the last 5 or 6 years, but somehow I never learned to build until recently. I discovered InWorldz about the same time I discovered Kitely. I don't come into Kitely too much because frankly, I can never seem to get any viewer to work. When I do get in, though, I like to practice my building. I can't believe I get a whole region for free! There must be some catch ... 8-)

Welcome to Kitely Sara :-)

You can set which viewer Kitely will use in the Settings page of your Kitely account: http://www.kitely.com/#!settings

I recommend you use the latest OpenSim version of the Firestorm viewer (the SL-only version won't work on non-SL grids): http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/downloads

There are two options for entering Kitely, using the Kitely Plugin or by manually logging into the Kitely grid via your viewer (the plugin is the recommended option). For details see: http://www.kitely.com/#!startviewers

Please note that the password for manually logging into the grid is not the same one you have for logging into the Kitely website. You can configure both these passwords in the aforementioned Settings page.

Hi Sara

Welcome i hope you will make Kitely your brand new home :) i was from SL too :) but recently migrated to kitely because of its great cloud system

its totally free and you will received few hours credit to be on your sim, but for others to go to your sim however you will need to charge them or you pay for them .

another way is you can get a full region world with 100k prims for only $40 a month :) in this way you and your visitors can be at your world without paying per time basis
