Looking forward to seeing some of you around the grid. :3
lol...Welcome Pinke-))

At this time social sites are made by individuals as they can. Some RP stuff going on, and ppl are making new friends and such.

I, myself, try to go to the Kitely Plaza for around an hour a day and would not mind company...lol..I post here when I am in.

Welcome, pinke!

Btw OOC: the sound scripts posted earlier for my use work well now that I figured out what to do. Thanks, Ilan and company. I successfully built a few virtual drums in kitely and they are basically ready to play!

introducing Alice Liberty

Post by Alice Liberty »

Hi, I have been in SL for 4 years.
I came to Kitely hoping for something better than how SL is managed by LL. So far I am impressed - Kitely seems to be very well managed and a good community.

I prefer private estates in SL rather than mainland, because there is an extra level of governance by the estate owner as well as by the grid owner. SL's mainland is too easily abused by griefers. So the Kitely system suits me well, with each world having its own theme and owner.

I don't mind the slow TPs between worlds, if the next one needs to be started, because I understand that's how you can keep the prices low. It's great that SIM crossings inside the same world are so smooth.

I'm glad you are starting a Kitely Market and I hope it will attract some of the best designers from SL.
It's great that Linda Kellie has provided so many medium quality freebies but... something I miss from SL is a good variety of high quality skins, hair, clothes, jewelry, makeup, shoes, etc.

The other thing I could not find in Kitely is adult furniture with menus and adult erotic animations. When that gap in the market is filled, I think I could persuade my SL friends to give up their land in SL and move to Kitely.

About me:
I can't make sculpts and mesh yet, but I can build quite well with prims and bought sculpts. I also like customising clothes etc, which are Mod and Copy.

I'm no good at role playing, acting a fictional character in a fictional story. I just socialise naturally as myself, very immersed inside my avatar.

BTW, I'm in the Sydney, Eastern Australia time zone.

Thank you Alice and welcome to Kitely :-)

If you're willing to help, approaching the SL merchants you like and letting them know of Kitely, and the upcoming opening of the Kitely Market, can help bring the content you want into Kitely.

You can point SL merchants to both our own blog announcement http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-new ... merchants/ and Inara Pay's blog post http://modemworld.wordpress.com/2013/05 ... merchants/ if they show interest. They are also welcome to contact me if they have any questions.

Hello!

another SL transplant.. I'm on a new viewer catznip because I was on SL same time on main viewer firestorm.maybe I need to switch that up cause I'm feeling like a total newb again lol..

2 things....
for some reason I couldn't tp around I could only go to 1 place, I'm sure its something simple though
ALSO I wanted to upload a IAR file and some dae mesh files, I stopped there and didnt try to upload anything else, all I saw was normal uploading options and nothing worked.. I have to get some real clothes on this grid and to the marketplace lol.... along with the rest of my building stuff.. Any helpful information would be wonderful :)

Thank you

Welcome Vitality!!

As far as I know IARs are not available here yet.

You can create an oar in your own soas and import it here tho, with everything you want-))

Have fun!!!

Welcome to Kitely Vitality :-)

I suggest you install the OpenSim-compatible version of Firestorm in the default installation directory: http://www.firestormviewer.org/download ... d-tabs-1-1

For details see: http://www.kitely.com/startviewers

What do you mean you couldn't TP? What happened when you tried to do so?

Kitely doesn't support IAR files at this time but you can rezz items in a region and save that as an OAR file which you can then use to create a new Kitely world. Once the world is active, just take back those items into your inventory.
