Cryptocurrency Market
Hi, recently HighFidelity started their cryptocurrency-based content protection and payment system and wanted to know whether kitely had any interest in this area or able to sell to high fidelity as well?

Re: Cryptocurrency Market
Hi Gusher,
Developing and providing innovative content-related services is an important part of our future growth strategy.
Part of that strategy includes extending delivery from Kitely Market to other VW/VR/AR platforms. That includes delivering to High Fidelity, once that platform is mature enough and it makes business sense to do so. That said, whether or not we'll accept HFC (High Fidelity Currency) as a payment option in Kitely Market is still an open question.

Interesting, I want to participate in that beta with limited items as test base... so was thinking if our accounts here had that option to voluntarly use it would be nice...

By "if our accounts here had that option to voluntarily use it would be nice...", are you referring to the Kitely Market accounts being able to deliver to High Fidelity or to some other feature?

Re: Cryptocurrency Market
Thank you for the clarification Gusher.
Delivery to High Fidelity is high on our priority list. The High Fidelity Digital Asset Registry (DAR) is innovative and we applaud High Fidelity for taking a step in the right direction. That said, the High Fidelity DAR has various limitations that we don't necessarily agree with, such as all items on sale being sold only with a no-copy license so that you buy the right to only rez the bought item once at any given point in time. Using that license if you rez an item more than once then the older rezzed copies will be automatically deleted by the domain server they are rezzed on (within an hour if its rezzed on a domain that respects the licenses that are specified in High Fidelity's DAR).
We believe buyers and sellers should have more flexibility than what the High Fidelity DAR supports. When we eventually enable Kitely Market to deliver to High Fidelity we'll aim to support those valid use cases.

Re: Cryptocurrency Market
Makes sense...understandable..for the most part its just beta for now and will be a matter of time whether people will like it or not... hopefully some agreement, standards will be sought that will workout with interested virtual content portals that can set their own distribution rules..

This is an article I wrote about some of the other limitations of using High Fidelity's blockchain-based approach: http://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2017/0 ... tificates/
