combining small OARs into a single large region - a service? a process?

Post by Eileen O'Connor »

I have a number of education students who are creating Kitely islands, taking advantage of the amazing islands that have already been made available by generous developers and artists (thank you to all - and especially Kitely). Now, I know you can not simply join these separate islands in an "easy" manner and I am not smart enough to teach them myself.

Are there directions available now for doing those off-Kitely mergers? And/or I know from past postings that some of you folks offer a service for merging islands that can then be uploaded. If you do provide such a service, might you pass along info on relative costs and the like so I could pass this on? My students are just that - students. They don't have fat wallets, but they would be able to come up with some funds, I am sure, if it was within their price range. Thanks for any help or direction here. eileen

Hello Eileen.

I've offered a service along these lines in the past. Here's the thread, which gives an idea of costs:

Roughly speaking, 200-300 KC costs 1 USD, if you need to estimate how much it will cost in "real" money.

Hope this helps.

This is good to know - I had seen the earlier posting and am glad to hear the service is still available. :D :D :D
