Post by Cooper Swizzle »

Should you have the time, please read the information below and if you can assist this Matthew, I'm sure he would appreciate it. And it you know someone who is in the Virtual World, pass this on to them. thank you, Cooper Swizzle

Hello! My name is (Matthew) Tsz-Chun Chan and I am a psychology graduate student at Pacific University gathering data for my dissertation research project on the correlation of virtual world use and social satisfaction among individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This study has been approved by the Pacific University human subjects research ethics committee.

If you are:
• over the age of 18 and
• have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (or Asperger's Syndrome)
• a current or former user of virtual world platforms

I would appreciate no more than 10 minutes of your time to complete this survey. Questions ask about your use of virtual world platforms and your social relationships with other people. Information about your age, gender, ethnic background, and marital status will also be used as a part of the study. However, no names or emails will be associated with your response.

You will have the right to withdraw from the survey at any point by closing your browser or navigating away from the survey. If you choose to skip certain questions, the responses you have provided will still be recorded, but will not be used. By participating in this study, you will also be able to enter a drawing to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me (Matthew Chan, chan7530@pacificu.edu).
