Re: How to Notify Our Virtual Friends of Our Actual Death?
I'm so sorry to read about your pending loss, Danko. Losing a loved one is never easy.
I actually have thought about the topic issue a few times over the past couple of years. About two years ago I experienced a serious health scare.
It resulted in nine days in Cardiac Intensive Care and a complete change of my life. I have since been forced into disability retirement from a job
I had enjoyed for 27 years. My condition has improved over time and I don't anticipate any imminent departure from this world, although of course
you never can be sure.
I had not actually encountered the concept of a "virtual will" before. Very interesting. Though I never thought of it any formal way, I have left written
instructions for my real life executor to contact certain people in my online haunts to let people know if something does happen to me. Fortunately
my executor is technically savvy, although he's not personally into virtual worlds.
As those of us online age, this is something to be considered seriously.

I'm so sorry Danko. I can't think of anything harder than losing a loved one. Thank you for your thoughtfulness in pointing out something that I hadn't really thought of, but probably should.
