Using the forum "mute" feature

Post by Dot Macchi »

Just as you can "mute" an individual inworld, it is possible to do something similar on the forum.

It's accessible via the User Control Panel, "Friends and Foes" tab (yes, I agree that the terminology is a bit OTT).

On the left, click on "Manage Foes". Then click "Find a member" in the main panel. This opens up the forum Members List. Click the box by each name you would prefer not to read posts from, then scroll to the bottom of the table and click "Select Marked".

This takes you back to the User Control Panel, which will have the names filled in for you. Click the Submit button, then click Yes if you are sure you wish to carry out this operation.

When you are logged in, posts by the muted individual will be hidden by default, though there will be a link you can choose to click should you wish to read the post after all.

The mute setting can easily be reversed (again, just as you can inworld); in the "Manage Foes" panel, select the name, then click "Submit". After confirming this action, you will be able to see all the individual's posts again.
