My friend can't teleport into my world
My friend can't teleport into my world
Hi my first post here on the forum but I have to say this is a good setup. I already joined and enjoy using my land.
Anyways I gota question for yeah. I want my friend who has a free avatar account right. I offered her a teleport to my land but it didn't work. She got a message: Could not teleport. Denied access to private region Medora: You are not on the access list for that region.
Now at first I denied public access but I put her on the permission list below. And second try I allowed public access but still it didn't work.
I'm thinking she has to be a paid user right to join my land?

Re: My friend can't teleport into my world
Hello, Kor -- welcome!
Your friend will be able to visit your land, even though she doesn't have a paying Kitely account. One way is to set up a special land group, like you would do in Second Life, and have you and your friend join it.
Then set up access via the land's Kitely web page. So go to http://www.kitely.com/myworlds then click on the "Manage" link in the "Actions" column.
Click on the "Access" tab. Make sure that the options for "Premium" and "Regular" users are both ticked.
Then click the optional "Manage Groups" button at the bottom. Choose the land group you just set up.
Hopefully that will do the trick.

Re: My friend can't teleport into my world
Ah, as posted by Dot I tried to create a group using, http://www.kitely.com/myworlds
I did want to create a group from in world but I didn't have any KC cash, all get some later.
But I'm wondering if I can create a group using http://www.kitely.com/myworlds and under access. Right now it won't let me create a group using the site.

And the viewer I'm using is, Singularity Viewer I find it to be more stable.

Re: My friend can't teleport into my world
You need to create the group inworld, which costs just 100 KC.
Then you will be able to set up the group access using http://www.kitely.com/myworlds

Re: My friend can't teleport into my world
If the world is set as public she should be able to access it. If it is a Premium world you will be paying 1KC per minute for her access time so you will need some KCs.
UPDATED: "Public" with no access groups defined

Re: My friend can't teleport into my world
Okay I did this. I created a new group and added her to my access list and the group. Nothing I get the same results. I'm getting tired of this not working something is messed up.Dot Matrix wrote:Hello, Kor -- welcome!![]()

Re: My friend can't teleport into my world
Hi Kor,
Medora is a Starter World so you aren't going to be charged for time people spend inside that world. As that is the case please do the following:
1) Go to your My Worlds page and press the Manage link next to your world's name to open the Manage World dialog for that world.
2) Switch to the Access tab in that dialog.
3) Enable all the checkmarks (Premium Account and Regular Account and (if you want) Hypergrid users).
4) Set your desired access group in that tab.
I went inworld and removed the access restrictions you placed for that world using the viewer tools. For world access controls it's best to use the access controls in the Access tab of the Manage World dialog.
Please make sure you invite all the people you want to be able to enter your world to the group you defined in the Access tab then test again.
