Re: Need Guidance
Hi Gusher,
I'm not familiar with the software you linked to but if it's trying to directly download RAW files from your world then this Kitely feature may be effecting it: https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-ne ... raforming/
You may therefore want to manually download the RAW file as explained above then import it into that software (assuming it supports that function).
Please note that "http://grid.kitely.com:8002/" leads to Kitely's default region, which is the Kitely Welcome Center. You'll need a different URL to connect to your specific world.

Re: Need Guidance
No it doesn't support direct raw opening.... will have to do more research... what would you suggest for an editor that can generate splatmap from the heightmap? It's the RGBA channels for texture blending...

Re: Need Guidance
Can you please describe them here so if someone else encounters this problem they'll be able to find the solution?

Re: Need Guidance
Doesn't help with the splatmap but you can generate a sculpted prim texture from a terrain raw file here:

Re: Need Guidance
Very Cool Tool!
Beats the way I've been doing it manually with an inworld tool I built to convert Terrains to sculpt/mesh for skyboxes and stuff.
One fun use for this tool is to create a sculpt of your region, make the sculpt Blank texture and White color, size it to 256x256x(max height of your region) and place it at 128x128 then shift it up and down as needed to give snow cover to your entire region with one prim.
Thank you for sharing knowledge Gusher!

Re: Need Guidance
That sounds very cool, Shandon. Which reminds me that the Cool VL viewer can also make region sculpts although I suspect you have to split the images up to generate the multiple prims needed for a varregion. http://sldev.free.fr/TerrainSculptor/index.htmlShandon Loring wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 3:42 amVery Cool Tool!

Folk in England and Wales may be particularly interested in the ability to download heightfield data from LiDAR scans via https://houseprices.io/lab/lidar/map
You can tweak these in TerreSculptor and export as .r32 for upload into Kitely. http://www.demenzunmedia.com/home/terresculptor/
While not especially useful, there's an example here that shows the waterfront at Liverpool https://twitter.com/vrsimility/status/1 ... 80065?s=20
