Setting Selecting Large Area for Subdivide.

Dear reader,

Yesterday it was possible for me to select large amounts of land and then subdivide.
As of today it's no longer possible. I did change some settings in Building but they had to do with moving prims. As far as I know not related to selecting land. I do not recall changing any other setting.

Am I overlooking something?

My draw distance was set to low!
(this costs me 2 hours of my life, LOL)...
