using plain ol' vanilla OpenSim 0.8.0.3 (not SoaS, not Diva, no mods, no custom config)

Re: Uploading varregion OAR breaks terrain & object coordina
Urgh, my local install of OpenSim seems to have developed symptoms of something or other. The last two times I've rebooted (both today), it's asked both times for new URIs for two regions, as well as whether to join them to an existing estate, etc. When I log in, both the SW & NE regions have loaded as default terrain. Clearly something's gone wonky.
So, there were no symptoms that something might be wrong here until today, guess I'm going to have to reinstall OS (again) and start again from the beginning.... :/
Thanks for the help! I'll come back and post whether the issue is solved after testing.

Sympathies, Cider. It's so frustrating when things like that happen.

After a rather arduous job repairing my local OpenSim issues (nearly 3 days on this), I tried your recommendation Dot, and it works! 4 separate regions saved as a single oar using the --all switch.
Thankyou!

You can now import VarRegion OAR Files into Kitely: http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-new ... -campaign/

Re: Uploading varregion OAR breaks terrain & object coordina
@Dot -
I have a question about this --all method. I've not done it yet but still getting the hang of it in NWS. Is this correct or?
If I set a 2x2 mini grid and set megaregions to *false* then I can work on 4 individual regions bouncing back and forth, and this includes writing the change region and load oar instructions to each one to put a totally different oar file on each region?
And then to save all 4 as one big one with 4 quadrants, basically, I'd type save oar --all regionsname.oar and then I can upload it to Kitely as a AMR and it'll be a 2x2 area with 4 segments, each with a different "oar world" - like 4 different LK oars, for example.
Is this correct or am I messing up somewhere? I'm asking because the save --all function seems to make the most sense but I'm using NWS and not sure if it'll work the same in SOAS or regular OS to do the same thing - changing regions and uploading to Kitely with everything working.
Thanks

Hi Serenity
If NWS works the same as SoaS, then using the save --all method as you describe will work.
