Hi Graham,
The system only deep scans objects to determine their properties during the OAR file creation process, so it can't give warnings in advance.

Re: Upgrading World
Sorry, I missed that this had moved to a second page so I'll ask my follow-on question again, viz is it possible to request that a region be rolled back given that you may not be able to archive no-copy items?
Also, is there an easy way to identify a small number of no-copy items at a region level prior to archiving?

Re: Upgrading World
Hi Graham,
Our system automatically backups up worlds on a daily bases and stores them for up to two week so we can, technically, roll back a world to a previous state if need be. That said, this can create situations where no-copy items which where moved elsewhere by the user after the backup was created will be restored. Giving people direct access to restore backups will therefore create a loophole which they will be able to use to duplicate no-copy items. We could conceivably create a system that tracks objects and prevents such copy loopholes from being taken advantage of but this will require significant development effort on our part and is not something we wish to get into at this time.
Restoring a single world from a backup requires manual work on our part (even without preventing no-copy items from being duplicated, which we currently lack tools to do). We will do that work if some system error destroys a world but restoring a world due to a user mistake may require some sort of payment to cover our costs - our low prices are possible because almost everything we provide is automated and we don't want to have to increase them for everyone.
We may add some feature that will let you know the identity of the items that were filtered out when you copied or exported a world but I don't see us implementing that soon - there are higher priority features we need to address first, e.g. finishing the development of the Kitely Market.

Re: Upgrading World
Hey there, I am on a fixed plan, $40 a month, 1 region, when I want to expand this region to a 3x3 region size, what happens with the content that is in place right now? Will the new land just appear on the south and to the east of the existing land mass? What will be the max resolution for terrain textures and will terrain textures connect seamless trhouhout the complete 3 x 3 region?

Re: Upgrading World
Hi Amiryu,
You'll need to your the Export World function to export your world to an OAR file then create a new bigger world while providing that OAR file in the New World dialog. Make sure to read the Export Report to make sure nothing was filtered out. See: http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-new ... plemented/
The content saved in the 1-region world will be uploaded to the south-east region of the 3x3 region world you create.
Terrain textures are set individually per region (you'll need to temporarily disable Advanced Megaregion mode to set them). Terrain textures can be 1024x1024, they should connect seamlessly if they are seamless textures.
