Can't Load RAW Files

Post by Bladyblue Bommerang »

This is a real drawback for me. I went out and bought a bunch of them, but I can't get any to load. Ilan came and loaded one easily, but my account won't do it. It may be because of my bandwidth, I don't know.

So I went and got a friend from Second Life to come do it for me. I gave him the RAW files. I made him estate manager, but the "upload RAWS files" button was not made available to him.

How can I get my friend capable to upload the RAW files for me? This is a big set-back.

Hi Bladyblue,

We'll look into both these issues: why RAW file uploads failed for you and enabling Estate Managers to upload RAW files. We'll update this thread once we have something to report.

In the meantime, I can help you upload these RAW files into your world(s).

OK. When you get on Skype I will send you the files and meet you in-world. There are only 3 I need to do. Thanks.

I believe that I have found the problem. It occurs randomly for some uploads, which is why it happened for you but not for Ilan. The fix will be part of our upcoming update, which will hopefully be some time this week. In the meanwhile, let Ilan upload for you :)

Hi Blady,

Please send me the names of the regions into which you want me to upload the RAW files you sent me.

Well, even tho they were not bought from me!! [shame shame] lol...I joke

I always use ctrl alt v to overcome the oftimes bug of not having EM rights work properly in many grids.

Once it is activated all sorts of features that should work, but do not due to various os bugs, then make life much simpler-))

Hi Minethere,

It appears that estate managers can't upload RAW files by design, see: http://forums-archive.secondlife.com/32 ... 571/1.html

The OpenSim developer that implemented this feature just copied that design choice from Second Life.

That's old..and as well, just have someone test what I do...it works in every grid I upload RAWs to, which is too darn many...lol
