L3dT is such a cool program that I desperately wish to use in Kitely. But it just doesn't work and I have no idea why.
I get the following error:
There was an IO Exception loading your terrain. Please check free space.
Even though I will also get the message that the terrain is loaded.
I've followed the tutorials for using L3dt in opensim, to no avail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEgV78XIV5w for example. HIS works fine...what do I have to do to get past this error?
L3DT! it doesn't work!

Re: L3DT! it doesn't work!
The problem is absolutely not the network speed on my end. I'm uploading a .raw through Firestorm. The LL-provided .raw files work fine.
Lawrence Pierce wrote that he worked it out, but I have not been able to find what he said on the topic. Where can I find his solution?
Why does the L3dt generated heightfield work in Opensim but not in Kitely?

Re: L3DT! it doesn't work!
Well I have had some luck with saving the heightfield as a BMP out of L3dt, and importing it into Bailiwick. Then I can adjust the multiplier and save out as a .raw file. Then Kitely accepts it as an upload. There's some imprecision with this method, but overall it works decently.
It's still a mystery as to why the darn thing won't just work, though.

Faun, perhaps this tut will be of some help;
http://myosgrid.wordpress.com/2013/02/0 ... r-opensim/
Also, you might confirm that the files you make are 832kb in size which is the raw file size needed to upload.
As a terraformer I tried l3dt but found I rather like doing them by hand inworld.
