Raw Terrain Textures Change ?

Raw Terrain Textures Change ?

Hi there

I have already been successful at uploading Raw Terrain Files and Im now thinking about creating some and download them for online exchanges

I know it only exports terrain and not the contents but if I terraform a world inside Kitely and add my own terrain textures on the Region settings, will my download out of Kitely keep the new textures I added and will they pass along to users that upload them to their worlds/grids, or only the terraforming will pass and they will just have the default Opensim texture laid down on the new terrain ???

The way to do this would be to use the Copy World option to clone the world, remove whatever you don't want to sell from the world copy then use the Export world option to download the new world as an OAR file.

The OAR file will contain the terrain, its textures, and whatever objects you had left in that world before you created the OAR file.

Hello Ilan, there is a confusion, Im not talking about OARs, Im talking about direct upload or download of only terrains by the viewer, not the worlds

Ilan, I use OARs for other purposes with great advantages but those are clear to me and Kitely is the best platform to deal with them

I read this twice and, Ilan, I see now what you meant

Instead of using the OAR for full world+contents exchange I can use the OAR Export just like a more complete way to export terrains + its textures and keep the lands 100% clear of content

I would accomplish exactly what I want just by another method

Now you guys just need to allow that product cathegory at the Market, lol
