Hi, I have a set home position on my World, so do all my friends and residents. Twice now in the last week everyone has found they have no home position and so when they log in they end up not in the Transit bay but at the Kitely Welcome Centre and are told that they have no Home Why does home sweet home keep on disappearing? Thanks for your advice

What viewer (and version) did this happen on? Did this happen after you pressed the Enter World button of another world?

Hi, this happened on Firestorm (4.6.7.42398) and on Singularity (1.8.6) . The common factor between the users (about 3-4 others), however, seems to be entering other non Kitely worlds on the Hypergrid and then returning to Kitely, by ‘teleporting home’. But, I have never had this prob until very recently and always used the same version of FS and I visit on the Hypergrid a great deal. The others have not even visited other worlds in Kitely during this time (if that is what you mean by pressing Enter World - we don’t get out much, we are writers, lol) but they made several visits recently to another OpenSim world with me and then teleported home to Kitely - I may be wrong but I think the prob may have been triggered each time by international travel to other Grids, recently and then pressing ‘tp home’.

Perhaps we should get new visas, lol. Or just stop teleporting home and just log out and log in again?

Can you please give me the full Hypergrid address of one such third-party grid region from which you encountered this problem?

Racetrack, Racetrack (849, 461, 21)

Please provide the Hypergrid address and not a screenshot of the landmark (I can't teleport to a destination using a screenshot). For example the Kitely Welcome Center Hypergrid address is "grid.kitely.com:8002:Kitely Welcome Center". What is the Hypergrid address of the region you're referring to (I didn't get any results for "hg.osgrid.org:80:Racetrack").

Ilan, I am really sorry. Thanks so much for your time. I have a LM to Racer which works from Kitely. I will pass that you. I have no idea how to generate the Hypergird address. So I went over to Racer and asked the owner for the HG address. He has no idea what the Hypergrid address of his region is either….Lol.
I have not had the problem again of the home position being lost from this place, but if I try and return home to Kitely from Racetrack I get logged out…:-) I have not had it from any other place for a while and no one else has reported it, again on my world. sending you a LM to Racetrack, inworld.

Hi Arton,

We've fixed this bug, and the fix will be included in the next release. After the release you will need to re-set your Home position, and then it should work even from other grids.
