Making Groups and Inviting Members

Post by Barbara Novelli »

I've tried to restrict entry to my world, Edutopia, to SLESL group members. I created the SLESL group and sent out membership invitations, but although avatars accept the invitations and are listed as group members, they get a "You don't have permission to enter" message when they try to teleport to Edutopia. Even if I send them a teleport offer, they get that error message. I have also tried many times to add avatars to my allowed and banned lists, but the information does not save. Frustrated. Would appreciate any help.

Hi Barbara,

I recommend you remove all the access restrictions you created using the viewer and instead use the access controls that are available on our website. To do so go to your My Worlds page, press the manage link next to your world's name to open its Manage World dialog and then switch to the Access tab in that dialog. On the bottom of that tab you'll find the option to limit access to your world to only people who belong to a particular group.
