We have just noticed that the large firetower, and perhaps some of the trees that used to be around its base, but not the ladders and platforms and things around and on top of it, on the Hudson Line sim have disappeared. Not sure when, it could have been some time ago.
The main object is/was "Power Tower 1", sitting at or near <155.48582, 228.93597, 70.80269> in "The Husdon Line".
I don't suppose there's anyway you can get the database to tell you the last known position, size, and rotation of that object?
(Prior to today, that is, when we have put it back at about the right place, but it doesn't line up with things like it used to.)
Some objects missing?

Re: Some objects missing?
Hi Dale,
We have no capability to do that. We can restore a world at the world manager's request to a previously stored state (we keep daily backups up to 10 days in the past) but we can't easily view the world using those stored states.
As a side note, things generally don't just disappear, they get moved or deleted by people (either intentionally or by accident, often without them noticing it at the time - It's very easy to accidentally select multiple objects at once). It's best to try to talk to the people who have building permission in that world to see whether they intentionally moved/removed the object in question.
You can also use the viewer's built in Area Search tool (under World Menu in Firestorm) to search for the object. If it was moved you'll be able to trace its existing location using this feature.

Re: Some objects missing?
Thanks! Yeah, looked in Area Search, and its quite likely someone did it by accident, but we've also search Lost and Founds and things, to no avail. Good to know that you have 10 days worth of daily backups, though, for next time! (Is it possible to restore a backup to a temporary extra world / sim, theoretically?)

You can use the Copy World feature (in the world manager account's My Worlds page) to duplicate the world then ask us to restore the original world to a previously saved state.
